Summary/Abstract: While migration from the Middle East and Africa has not stopped, on the one hand, the current three-year war in the Republic of Ukraine has additionally set millions of refugees and migrants in motion, on the other. Since the end of February 2022, several hundred thousand Eastern European and several tens of thousands of Middle Eastern and African migrants, refugees and temporarily displaced persons have arrived in the Republic of Serbia. The aim of this is to present the discourse and engagement of the Serbian Orthodox Church during the “Migrant Crisis (2015)” and the “Ukrainian Refugee Crisis (2022)” in the homeland and diaspora in the period from 2022 to 2025, thus encompassing a unique ten-year time frame from 2015 to the present day. The sources presented in the paper include the official announcements, encyclicals, episcopal homi lies, letters, appeals, diocesan magazines and interviews by His Holiness Serbian Patriarch kyr Porfirije and (arch)bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
