Summary/Abstract: On November 30, 2023, the national round of the Student Scientific and Professional Conference in Ethnology took place at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, featuring nine students from three Slovak universities. Participants presented diverse topics, including wedding video recordings, traditional Maypole raising, COVID-19 risk representations, everyday and festive family life in the late 20th century, and traditional birth rituals. The jury, composed of representatives from various academic institutions, praised the quality of all contributions, ultimately awarding Ján Dubravčák, Peter Gecelovský, and Denis Krajčovič as laureates. Special recognitions were given to Stanislav Čúzy and Michaela Baštáková. The conference fostered valuable exchanges among students, highlighting the importance of scientific methodology and collaboration in ethnological research.
