Political Paradialogue. Part I

Summary/Abstract: The paper considers the phenomenon of a political paradialogue as a postmodernist parody on a classic dialogue, on a coherent and substantive debate on political issues. Building on the approaches of M. Bahtin and G. Deleuze, the author draws stuff of television talk show with two Russian politicians – Zhirinovski and Prokhanov, in order to consider in detail the semantic and pragmatic absurds, and the paradoxes of paradialogic communication as well as its infantile game aspects as specific markers of authoritarian thinking.
