Summary/Abstract: Decisions on the choice of investment projects in the telecommunications sector and in general can significantly affect the fate of the company, its competitive position in the market, market participation, the direction of further technological development, and even the survival of the company. The scope of this paper is to point out in the conditions of the current economic reality the importance of the overall capital budgeting process, when choosing and deciding on investment activities in the field of telecommunications. In that sense, they analyzed the specifics of the telecommunications sector and pointed to the impact of capital budgeting and the selection of investment projects on economic growth and development.
