Summary/Abstract: The analysis of new forms of discursive policy on Africa reveals the persistence of lexical, thematical and formal recursions that give a negative overall image. This article is based on the epistemological principles of discourse analysis borrowed mostly from Amossy (1991), Charaudeau (2005) and Krieg-Planque (2009). It aims firstly at clarifying certain phenomenal statements that give a stereotypic image of Africans in common speeches (such as Sarkozy in Dakar and Obama in Accra). It also points out the strategies of ideological coercion that they mobilize in the globalized communication field.
