Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the affairs in Portugal in the second half of the thirties of XX century. The author highlights the forming of the Portugal Legion as an organization -open for all who consciously and voluntarily. respond to the appeal of the most radical right politicians. At the same time the absolute leading role of the Salazar’s government on the process is stressed and the leading line .that to avoid any deviation from its aims, the Legion has to be created as an orderly organization with severe discipline, directly subordinated to the government.
