Summary/Abstract: In light of the 2024 commemoration marking the centennial of the establishment of university theological education in Cluj-Napoca, this study aims to bring to the fore certain lesser-known aspects in current historical and theological research, of the life and academic activity of Father Professor Dr. Ioan Zăgrean (1912-1991) of the Theological Academy of Cluj. This research specifically delves into his initial appointment as titular at the Department of Practical Theology within the aforementioned educational institution. This research is dedicated to the memory of Archdeacon Prof. Dr. Ioan Zăgrean, in appreciation and gratitude for his contributions to the development and consolidation of Romanian Orthodox theological education.
