Summary/Abstract: This article examines the issues of the current state of higher legal education in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its prospects for improvement. The purpose of the scientific article is to analyze the existing system and approaches to higher legal education, scientific activity and the status of a teacher in it. The analysis of the problems of higher legal education in Kazakhstan is multifaceted and affects several aspects, issues related to the requirements of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which relate to several aspects, which clearly affects the quality of higher legal education in the country, are also considered. The ways of reforming higher legal education are proposed. The main directions of optimization of legal education reforms are presented.
