Summary/Abstract: In the study submitted for specialist consideration, the authors present a detailed account of the results of the interdisciplinary archaeological investigations conducted in barrow T1 from Targu Frumos-Vest de oraș (2018-2020), as part of a broader programme of research into barrow funerary monuments in the Bahluieț catchment basin – Targu Frumos area. Within this barrow, 11 inhumation funerary features and one cenotaph were discovered, attributed to the Early Bronze Age Yamnaya (Gr. 3, 6-8, 10, and Pit 1) and Katakombnaya cultures (Gr.4 and cenotaph Gr.9), and Middle Bronze Age (Gr.1-2 and 5?) Mnogovalikovaya or Costișa (?) cultures, one to the Sarmatians (Gr.11) and one unassigned (Gr.12), as well as WWII military features. Together with the results of archaeological and geophysical investigations, the radiometric data and pedological determinations are presented and, additionally, in a separate complementary paper, bioanthropologists present the bioanthropological study of the human osteological materials discovered in the 11 graves.
