Summary/Abstract: In the month of Nissan during the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar took place the most important and even the first known showcase trial of the history in Jerusalem. The Sinedrion accused Jesus from Nazareth of blasphemy and high treason. Both of these accusations issue in death. The outcome is the crucifixion of Jesus but what kind of antecedents led to this bloody end of his life behind the scenes? Can we speak about a legal accusation or about a legal verdict? What about the blood libel, may we condemn the Jewish people as the murderer of the Son of God? On the one hand I try to read between the lines and find an answer to some questions like these. On the other hand it was my goal to disclose a possible historical dimension of this story behind the theological viewpoint of the gospels, on the grounds of some works of some of the researchers on this topic.
