Summary/Abstract: The Personal Development discipline has the role of helping and guiding students to have a quality life, to maintain optimal relationships with others, to establish and then achieve goals in a certain period of schooling, related to the current social context. The article proposes an overlap of the legislative framework that regulates the study of this discipline in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, with the aim of identifying the similarities and differences that constitute the basis for the realization of the educational act in a relatively new discipline and without an established theoretical layer as in the case of the studied disciplines from the beginning of education.
