Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the challenges and issues faced by Ukrainian students learning Slovak as a foreign language during the ongoing war. It highlights the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict on education, including the destruction of schools and the need for students and teachers to seek shelter frequently. The shift to online and hybrid learning models due to the war and the COVID-19 pandemic is examined, noting both the benefits and drawbacks. The article emphasizes the psychological and emotional toll on students and teachers, including increased anxiety, lack of motivation, and the struggle to maintain effective education. It also addresses the importance of personal communication and structured schedules to combat these issues. The need for adaptable teaching methods and the role of technology in continuing education under these circumstances are discussed. The article concludes by stressing the resilience and dedication of educators in ensuring the continuity of education despite the challenges.
