Summary/Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of the content of the 12 reading books for the third and fourth grades approved by the Ministry of Education and the Science (2017– 2018), and used in pedagogical practice, because of the presence in them of texts from Bulgarian and foreign folklore. Tables are included in the exposition as evidentiary material, allowing the reader to locate the relevant texts in both the printed and electronic versions of each reading book. Short folklore genres, such as riddles and proverbs, are included in their full-text version, while tales are presented by their title.
