Summary/Abstract: The daily notes from the Great War gave Nicolae Iorga the opportunity to write down his own impressions, as well as those of politicians and public opinion. The battle of Turtucaia and its consequences aroused interest both in the era and especially in the years of tribute to the Great War and the Great Union. The period from August 19/September 1, the beginning of the Battle of Turtucaia, until October 9/22, when the German-Bulgarian troops occupied Constanța, were in the spotlight and were annalyzed by Nicolae Iorga. Four records are dedicated to Dobrogea from the year 1916: "Battle of Turtucaia" from September 1, "Dobrogea" from October 11, "Constanța" from October 13 and "What should Dobrogea be after the war" from October 27.
