Summary/Abstract: When a group of people including one or more men is referred to, language users experience difficulties in choosing between a regular and a masculine personal numeral, for instance: седем преподаватели and седмина преподаватели (seven teachers) or сто двайсет и девет лекари and сто двайсет и деветима лекари (one hundred and twenty nine doctors). The article discusses the normative recommendations for the use of numerals with nouns referring to groups consisting of men or men and women.
