Summary/Abstract: Human trafficking is one of the is one of the most serious crimes that a person could commit. Illegal human trafficking is the fastest growing form of crime, as its profits can only be compared to those of illegal arms and drug trafficking. On the other side, organized criminal groups involved in human trafficking use corruption practices to achieve a wide range of their goals. This article examines and presents the characteristic features related to human trafficking, as well as the most common corruption practices used by traffickers to achieve their main goal, namely the extraction of financial benefits through exploitation of the victims of traffic.
