Summary/Abstract: I had the privilege of enjoying the presence of Professor Tudor Teoteoi in what I consider to be the critical moments of my studentship. I distinctly remember the excitement on the day of the entrance examination, when chance made his lordship a member of the committee for the supervision of the written test, the day on which the student fresh from the rigors of high school felt for the first time the impartial encouragement directed to each aspirant for the title of student of the Faculty of History, to prove not only the accumulated knowledge, but also the engagement in a lasting emotional devotion to the vast field of historical knowledge and critical reasoning.
