SOCIAL STATUS OF IMMIGRANTS IN BULGARIA

Summary/Abstract: Contemporary migration processes are a challenge for every scholar, research worker in respect of their dynamics and multi level migration theories. Bulgaria after joining EU is feeling the European problem of increasing immigration. For the few last years the country became from only “sending“ migration country to “receiving“ country in respect of migration flows. The article deals with this problem of a present day, presenting few researches dedicated on immigration problems in contemporary Bulgarian society. The article is focused on social status and internal group stratification of immigrants in Bulgaria. Through the problematic of identity and social stratification it reveals current state of immigration.
