International Indexes of Civil Society Development: gender Dimension

Summary/Abstract: The analysis of foreign approaches to the quantitative assessments of civil society con-firmed the hypothesis concerning the importance and topicality of such methodology. Gained experience in the form of ideas, methodologies, data and lessons learned (both posi-tive and negative) may serve good landmarks for the intensively developing research de-voted to the civil society as a whole and women’s movement as its constituent. Gender com-ponent is fully represented in Civicus Civil Society Index. This index may be successfully used to evaluate gender relations in state and society
