Summary/Abstract: The Albanians like many other people, during the medieval period applied (implemented) various ways of fighting. However, the most frequent ways that they applied during this period of time, were through ambuscade, frightening and deceit of the enemy. Besides the fighting on ground, these ways or the most of them were also applied during fighting at sea. When we talk about the ways of fighting at sea we should say that the partisan way of fighting, which also applied very often our ancestry – Illyrians, was the most preferred way of Albanians during the mediaeval period of time. By using marvellous possibilities that created for them seashore for many suddenly attacks, they developed their war tactics, which turned them to absolute masters (overlords) of the Adriatic for many centuries.
