Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to reflect on the influence of nostalgia on consumer behavior and its importance for the development of various advertising strategies. In the first place, the article is directed towards understanding the different psychological aspects of the nostalgic condition and investigating the influence it has on the consumer behavior. Next, the application of such mechanisms of influence of nostalgia to the design of advertising strategies as well as some specific post-socialist nostalgia manifestations are examined. Practical implications for advertising strategies are discussed.
