The Current Relevance of Franciscan Charisma in the Pope Francis’preaching

Summary/Abstract: Presentation of the current relevance of franciscan charisma in Pope Francis’ preaching is the aim of this article. The franciscan spirituality and the Pope Bergoglio’s teaching are very extensive issues. Indentification of all the common points would require more comprehensive study. In the paper there was made a summary of the most important facts and statements of Pope that confirms his fascination with Saint Francis from Assisi. The fact that living 800 years after the saint’s death, the Pope chooses St. Francis for his patron and often reminds his person and his words, showing it as a valuable guidance for a comtemporary man, indicates constant relevance of franciscan charizma.
