Summary/Abstract: The academic discourse on the political aspects of contemporary theatre has largely taken place within the theoretical framework of postdramatic theatre. Summarizing the essential elements of this concept, my paper argues for Hans-Thies Lehmann’s remarks on the detachment from the dramatic text (defined by action and conflict).
