Summary/Abstract: Bequest of complex personality of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk is still a topic of discussion today and remains actual. First of all, the importance of his political function, and how his main area of interest became Czechoslovakia. Today there are tendencies forget or belittle her long duration, and yet it is a crucial era for the development and continued existence of Czechs and Slovaks. They were initially united in the Czechoslovak nation, the main builders of democratic Czechoslovak Republic.
