Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the terminology of clothing and footwear in the folk life of the Serbs in Rudna village, in Romania. The material, which was collected on the basis of a thematic questionnaire, is classified into four basic semantic fields: 1. Clothing, 2. Footwear 3. Clothes and articles related to newborns and childcare and 4. Jewelry. The field devoted to clothing is divided into four thematic groups: Head covering, Covering the upper body, Covering the lower body and Covering the foot. The paper also presents the origin of words that comprise the terminology of dressing and footwear in the Rudna. It turned out that most of this lexicon is made up of Slovene words, but also has a notable number of Germans and Turks.
