Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to systematize and summarize the known and new knowledge about systems methods in analytics in terms of present and prospects for their use. The research methodology is the use of methods of description, comparison, generalization, and systems approach. The scientific novelty of the work is the generalization and systematization of known and new knowledge about systems methods in analytics in terms of present and prospects for their use in one study. Conclusions. The article highlights the current views of researchers and the author's position on the use of systematic methods in information and analytical activities and reveals the problem of any information specialist, in particular, analysts - the problem of choosing a method of information analysis. The works of well-known specialists – M. Zgurovsky and N. Pankratova, Y. Surmin, N. Chorney are analyzed. Their modern views on the use of systems methods in analytics formed the basis of the presentation of the main material. It is emphasized that we have an objective process of information technology development and it depends on our choice whether we will have a competitive advantage using the outlined system methods. The essence of the chosen system methods, their advantages, and possibilities of application in information-analytical activity are described. In addition, the author, based on the processed material, the logic of the information-analytical process offers its system of application of certain system methods depending on the stage of analysis of the research problem. Conventionally, the author proposes to divide these methods into five stages: stages of problem diagnosis, information collection, data systematization, problem analysis, and finding effective solutions. The methodology is based on the consistent use of system methods at a certain stage of information and analytical work. The practical use of this technique affects the speed and quality of management decisions, which will contribute to the effectiveness of any activity.
