Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the 2020 amendment to the Family Code, which has fundamentally reformed the regulation of parenthood. It examines the increased importance of the principle of truth as a link between the protective paradigm of family law and the constitutional protection of the private life of fathers and children. The importance of the best interests of the child, which is introduced as a criterion for the resolution of parenthood disputes when challenging the presumption of paternity and the recognition, rather than the proof of the biological origin of the child, is emphasized.
