Summary/Abstract: In accordance with the dynamics of the modern world, the multiculturality meets with the massive immigration and communication among different cultures. Yet the principle of multiculturality is not to be deduced from only one cultural context, it could take place only trough dialogue of the equals, depended of the mutual respect, and learning, based on the acceptance of the differences. The endorsing of the relationship between Islam and multiculturality presupposes the understanding of the other frames and conventions than in Western tradition. It is to be determined the meaning of the notion Of Islam and the culture, in order to depict the Islamic relations to the modern dynamics and liberal-social theories of multiculturalism. The Islamic principle of the community is different from the concept of community in modern societies, or from the concept of community in the national states. It is based on the words of God accepted by the Muslims as the first principle of the functioning of community. In addition, we find in the Islamic tradition the functioning of the political community based on the contract, too, in accordance with existing of different religions, and cultures.
