Summary/Abstract: In this article we will be analyzing the errors and difficulties that we often encounter during the assimilation of certain parts of the Serbian phonetic system in Romanian linguistic environment. Thus, we will be taking into consideration the following sounds: /ч/, /ћ/, /џ /, /ђ/ /, /љ/ и /њ/, which don't have an equivalent in Romanian phonological system. The difficulties in the pronunciation and perception of the above/mentioned sounds, exemplified by certain words from literary fragments that we chose, most often arise due to the acoustic and pronunciation characteristics of the phonological system in both Romanian and Serbian.
