Summary/Abstract: In this literary critical approach we deal with Lyudmila Ulitskaya’s theme of tolerance exposed in the novels Daniel Stein, Interpreter and The Funeral Party. We underline the fact that her literary creations are deeply influenced by her Christian persuasion, although she was born in a Jewish family. We follow her examples in ethic, religious, political or sexual differences between human beings gathered in her literary humanist writings in the postmodern context.
