Summary/Abstract: The author Rudina Shpuza in this work treats the unsuccessful conclusion of the activity and of the principle stand of the head of the International Commission, the Italian general Tellini, in the question of the definitive delimitation of the southern borders of Albania. The object of the article constitutes an untreated question up to now in the Albanian historiography. In a rather broader manner it has found reflections in the works of foreign historians, mainly Greeks and Italians in their studies devoted to the Italian-Greek relations of that period. This work is based on a source basis relatively broad, local and foreign. Among the documents published are exploited the Italian diplomatic documents and the multiplied documents of the Conference of Ambassadors and of the League of Nations. Of a particular interest, it is understandable, are the unpublished documents. The main place among them is occupied by the local sources exploited in the Central State Archives (Tirana). The author has worked also in the Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy (Roma). To follow the echo that had in the Albanian and foreign public opinion the crime of Janina of August 1923, are exploited by the author, first of all, the local press and partially the foreign one. On this relatively broad documentary material is set forth in the work not only the chronicle of the assassination of general Tellini. The author dwells on the pretensions of the Greek party to hide the authors of the crime, unique in the history of the Balkans. From what is set forth in the work, it becomes evident that the Albanian state had no-one political motive, no-one reason to incite the assassination of general Tellini, of the Italian delegation. During the work of the Commission for the delimitation of the Albanian-Greek border it had been the Greek delegation, and especially colonel Boçaris who had caused severe conflicts with general Tellini with an indiscutable political character. It was Greece which requested the interruption of the works of the Commission or, at least, their delay. In the meantime Albania demanded the soonest conclusion of the delimitation of the borders on the basis of the decisions of the Conference of Ambassadors. The Albanian people and its government were interested to focus on the organization, consolidation and progress of the Albanian state in those halved territories which were left to Albania. The numerous efforts of the Greek party to incriminate the Albanian authorities were unsuccessful. On the other side, the Italian-Greek crisis shows clearly that the established equilibriums after the First World War were quite unstable. The assassination of general Tellini and the events following it made to pass in the background this question. Again the Albanian question will be depending on the international situation.
