Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author points to the sociological aspect of the work of Vuk Karadžić. He considers Vuk's attitude towards sociology and his contribution to the sociology of the Serbian people through disciplines: a) social morphology and b) rural sociology. The author devoted special attention to Vuk's research method and research technique. The author will also try to answer the question: How much is Vuk's influence on contemporary Serbian sociology?
