Summary/Abstract: The study presents and analyzes the attitudes and positions of 3rd and 4th year students majoring in Social Work from three Bulgarian universities who have practiced or volunteered in an institution with a subject of social welfare and therefore observed what type of communication barriers arise in the interactions between social workers and clients. Although the from students observed barrier preconditions are registered quite rare in their practice, among them stand out those with a slightly higher potential to generate problems between a social worker and a client. Difficulties would arise, on the one hand, in the breach of confidentiality and, on the other, in the using of irrelevant strategies of supporting and motivation in a case work.
