Summary/Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to provide insights from one side, the influence of the gender configuration of sibling in the education of children, and on the other side, the contribution of the third generation to the upbringing of children. The Sibling relationship is a unique and potent context for the upbringing of children and is one of the key factors of family dynamics. The gender configuration of the children is a structural characteristic of a family that relates to the combination of sex and the order of birth of the child in the family. The unique effects of birth order or the sex of the children affecting the behavior of children and parents are widely researched, but research on their joint impact is rare and insufficient. Grandmothers and grandfathers play an important role in the upbringing of children. In considering their relationship, there are three theoretical models that tried to illuminate factors which can be indicators of the cause of the relationship quality between grandparents and grandchildren. The first model-family life cycle, the second model-model of "selective investment" and the third-model of intergenerational solidarity. However, the role of sibling and third generation in the upbringing of children is relatively neglected by the researchers who are studying the contributions and dynamics of family relationships.
