Summary/Abstract: After the protests against the election fraud in Belarus on 19 March 2006 were put down brutally after five days, many people were reminded of earlier ‘coloured’ revolutions in Serbia, Ukraine and Georgia. It showed how near success and failure of such action can lie together. And it showed once more, that it is the performance of the media that makes the difference.
