Summary/Abstract: The understanding and analysis of the relationships produced between humans and nature constitutes a relevant field of scholarship in a world where the environmental crisis, which derives from health and social crises, and the disputes over access to nature and a healthy environment are in the agendas of media, governments in all corners of the earth. In response to these realities, it is a challenge -and a responsibility- for academics to think through the analysis of other ways of understanding nature, the proliferation of socio-environmental inequalities, whether they are related to water, air, land orfood. Assuming this responsibility, the book Socio-environmental Conflicts in the Global South: responses and local constructions of other natures is a encouraging to think about socio-environmental conflicts in a complex way and to recognize some general axes of reflection and possible future research around these problems in Colombia and Latin America.
