Summary/Abstract: The mission of the Church is carried out in specific places through specific people who follow their vocation and undertake the tasks entrusted tothem. With the former parish presbytery at ul. Koscielna 1 in Bialystok isconnected with the ministry Vilnius and Bialystok bishops who were afterWorld War II they laid the foundation for a new particular church, whichis the present Bialystok Archdiocese. Their service involves the quiet workof the sisters. Right after during the war, they were sisters from the Congregationof the Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent a Paulo (Daughters of Charity),who in 1945 came from Vilnius to Bialystok together with Archbishop R.Jalbrzykowski and served in the bishop's house until his death in 1955 Theservice at the parish presbytery in 1954 was taken by the Daughters of theMost Pure Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Sacred Heart). They also servedin the bishop's house when Bishop H. Gulbinowicz (1970-1976) wasthe steward of the archdiocese in Bialystok. The Missionary Sisters of theHoly Family performed tasks in the curia from 1969, and in the years 1976-1993 the bishop's house during the reign of E. Kisiel, the last apostolic administratorand the first Bishop and Archbishop of Bialystok Metropolitan.
