Short Description

Focus and scope. The uniqueness of the scientific journal Socialiniai tyrimai (Eng. Social Research) among other periodicals of similar or related topics is the orientation towards the results of original social research. Improving the quality of the publications is focused on a high international scientific level. The aim is to attract high-level works of foreign researchers. Many recent sources of foreign science are required to be cited in articles. Interdisciplinarity is encouraged: articles often have broad links between different disciplines in management, administration and economics. This journal is a registered peer-reviewed scientific journal of Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy.

Publication frequency - two volumes per year.

Languages. The journal accepts articles in Lithuanian and English.

Charges. Authors are subject to a € 75 editing and layout fee.

We are members of the The Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA) which is a collaboration between scholarly publishers, infrastructure organizations, librarians, researchers and other interested parties to advocate and promote the unrestricted availability of the abstracts of the world's scholarly publications, particularly journal articles and book chapters, in trusted repositories where they are open and machine-accessible.
The journal is a participant of Open Archives Initiative. The Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH) is a low-barrier mechanism for repository interoperability.

History. The journal Social Research has been published without interruption since 2002. Since 2017, the journal is published only in electronic form with free access on the internet.
