Summary/Abstract: The aim of the report is to show the problems of the chat discourse. It has become really popular because of the easy account to the Internet these days. More and more different people use this kind of communication and they search in the net people appropriate to them. The chat ceases to be so anonymous. That is why there is a lot of identifying processes – the choice of the channel; the information given at the beginning of the conversation; the continuity of the chatting. There everybody can promote the behaviour they are afraid to use in the real life, but in the long-lasting communication the covered identity and the anonymity are very difficult to be kept. So, in our opinion, the chat is another way of communication, which is in the process of its normalization and will be more popular in future.
