Before the war, she was a member of illegal Polish Communist Party, during the war a subordinate (under the pseudonym “Barbara”) of Marian Spychalski in the Main Staff of Civic Guardia. She continued cooperation with Spychalski after the war, which was the main reason for her imprisonment in 1949-54. The selection is based on a 600-page manuscript encompassing 1942-92. |
